Architecture used to include all the aspects related designing a building and not much beyond that. The field has grown and expanded so as to be literally a hundred times more than what it was when it first began.

Innovations in buildings and the field itself lend it now to programs and designing schemes where it once was not used for anything other than the building of structures such as homes and apartments.

Architecture is among one of the most exciting fields available for study and when your studies are completed you will be called on to do such incredible feats as design a zoological park to provide for the security of the people and animals as well as to afford ready viewing of them and offer them their natural habitat in which to live. Another position that is becoming more valued and valuable in today’s market is the position of landscape architect. Everyone loves to visit an enjoyable and attractive area such as a park or playground. College campuses are famous for their use of landscaping in an effort to provide a warm welcoming atmosphere to their students.

Architects design these areas so that they are functional, beautiful and fully at ease with the natural environment around them. The landscape architect will plan the exact location of each roadway, walkway and how the flowers and trees as well as the buildings are arranged within the campus unit as a whole.

A landscape architect may work for any number of groups or organizations from developers of real estate to municipal areas such as a small town to a larger city. Working side by side with the architect, the surveyor and engineer together decide the best arrangement for roads, buildings and pathways in everything from a campus to a housing community to an entire city mall or complex.

The landscape architect is required today to affiliate and collaborate with many other persons such as conservationist, foresters, environmental sciences and natural resource companies to make decisions necessary to carry out the project to its completion.

Once the major decisions such as buildings are out of the way, the addition of such things as fountains and other decorative items comes into play as well. When planning a site or building, an architect needs to consider the nature and purpose of the site he/she will plan, and the funding available to him/her to complete the project.

With that in mind, the educational requirements for each type of architect will be stringent and varied. Mathematics will play an important role as well as arts and artistry. Other aspects of learning a solid amount of common sense is required of an architect in that he/she must also analyze and provide for certain natural aspects of their project such as climate, moisture, soil drainage and natural vegetation that exists there.

Typically companies today pay architects vast sums of money for the design of buildings and complexes. Those which work for a single firm and make their home there over a long period of time may expect reasonably a six figure salary from about the third year on particularly if they display a high level of competency at their job.

The market for such services in Canada and the United States is very good and the reasonably good architect can expect that his services will be greatly in demand over the course of his career. Freelance architects are far more common today than those which sign on with a firm, given the higher rate of flexibility in their jobs and the greater satisfaction at being able to choose their own projects. Interior design is a multi-faceted profession where creative and technical solutions are applied within a definite structure to achieve a built interior environment. The process follows a systematic and coordinated methodology such as research, analysis, and the integration of knowledge into the creative process where the needs and resources of the client are satisfied to produce the space that fulfills the project’s goal. With the advent of home improvement shows, a lot of number of people seeks the services of interior designers to do the necessary improvements of their homes. Some take years to finish because the specific elements of the project must be met to achieve completeness.

There are a wide range of working conditions and employment opportunities within the scale of the interior design jobs. Small and large companies often hire interior designers as employees on regular working hours. While some work freelance, they do not have regular clients and workloads are given by the client’s word of mouth or by referrals. Besides, they usually work long hours. Interior design jobs entail a lot of stress because deadlines have to met, client’s budget must be considered, and of course, the clients themselves. Their work tends to involve a great deal of traveling to visit different locations, studios, or client’s home and offices.

With the aid of the recent technology, the process of contracting clients and communicating design alternatives has become easier and requires less travel. The customers are quite happy with these developments because the design process became more interactive and exciting, in a relatively technological but labor-intensive environment. Architecture jobs, on the other hand, is the art and science of designing and erecting buildings and other physical structures. While the architect’s job is to design the physical components of the house or building, what the interior designer do is put some aesthetic values to that design down to the minutest details like flowers and vases.

An architecture job shop not only involved technical pens and drafting papers. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to manipulate their designs in different dimensions. A wider definition may comprise all design activity from the macro level like urban or landscape architecture, to the micro-level like construction details and furniture.

Architecture jobs involves the process of product planning, designing, and constructing form, space and ambiance that reflect functional, technical, social and aesthetic considerations. It also requires the creative manipulation and coordination of material, technology, light and shadow. Architectural jobs also encompass the pragmatic aspects of realizing building and structures, including scheduling, cost estimating, and construction administration.

The documentation produced by the architects are typically drawings, plans and technical specification and they define the structure and behavior of the building or homes that is to be or has been constructed. Architecture job description includes all work that is done by an architect such as planning, designing and constructing buildings for commercial and residential purposes. So an architect must be interested in all new and old buildings to understand their construction, design, compatibility with the environment, making of drafts and at the same time must be good in mathematics and calculations. Along with these basic architecture job description, an architect must have a sound knowledge of the type of environment and how it affects the buildings in that particular area.

Much of the work today is done on computers as many new software have been developed that are used for drafting and doing other architecture job designs.
